Friday- I was watching a movie with Jen at my house, so it was really dark. I needed to get something in my room in the middle of the movie, so I decided to walk to my room without turning on the lights. This is usually no problem for me since I've lived in this house for over a year already. However, as I was leaving the kitchen, I slammed into a door with my face, knee, and arm at the same time, making a really loud BANG! I forgot that Sam had conveniently closed all the doors leading to my room. Anyway, Jen was sitting there laughing at me (of course, after laughing at me, she was nice enough to ask if I was ok =P), and Richard, hearing the loud sound, came over and asked if I hurt anything. It was more embarrassing than it was painful =P.
Saturday- Went to the Mazda Rev-It-Up event in Alameda. They had a closed track to test drive vehicles in, so I decided to try a Miata. It was stick-shift, and I had driven manual transmission cars before, so I thought it would be ok. Guess what... the first thing that happens when I get into the car is I stall it getting in to 1st gear. So there are a whole bunch of Asians pointing and laughing at me, as well as the test drive coordinator telling me that "3 stalls and you're out. This isn't the place to learn stick shift if you don't know how to drive it." Aiya. Anyway, I finished the rest of it without problems. Of course, that didn't make the situation any better.
Sunday- Me, Kelly, and Jen went to Berkeley to meet some of her friends for dinner. During dinner, I drank a TON of water because I had just worked out, but didn't have anything to drink yet. Seeing this, Jen informs me (jokingly of course) that if I had to go to the bathroom on the ride back from Berkeley, she's not stopping for me. Of course, I wouldn't want to make anyone stop for a bathroom break, so I go to the bathroom before leaving. Unfortunately, I had to go REALLY BAD on the way back, and we ended up stopping at a Burger King. Burger King's bathrooms were closed, and the workers were in the back making food or something, so we went next door to Hollywood Video. The lady seemed annoyed at my request to use their bathroom, but let me in anyway. After taking what seemed like forever to relieve myself (a la Austin Powers), I went out of the bathroom to see Kelly and the lady laughing at me for taking so long. The lady commented on how I was doing this dance while asking her to go to the bathroom, and Kelly and she apparently talked at length about how badly I had to go, and how much water I had drunk. It also didn't help that Jen went to the Boston Market across the parking lot and used the bathroom with no problems =P.

raar, it's me....
I once was driving from Berkeley to Palo Alto at like 1am, just got off the bay bridge, and already barely able to hold it in (even though I went before I left)
Eventually stopped at SFO sprinting to the nearest bathroom... paid a dollar for parking for less than 5 minutes. Best dollar I've spent. |
