Jen and I got married on July 1, and we just got back from our honeymoon a few days ago. The wedding went great! It was a small wedding (56 attended), which made the preparations easier, but still stressful at times. Anyway, being married is good. =)
The honeymoon (Prague, Vienna, Budapest) was great because we got to see a part of Europe neither of us have visited before, and we got to eat a lot of good food. Pictures will be up eventually, but I haven't even taken the memory card out of the camera yet!
On a related note, this article about the cost of weddings is interesting. "Consider that the much-publicized cost of the average wedding -- $28,000 -- comes from a study conducted by Conde Nast Bridal Group, publisher of three wedding magazines and a web site." |

Congrats to you both! I just got married in September. I really was shocked at the upcharges for weddings. At first, I told everyone that I was planning a party. I got those prices, and then I said wedding eventually and somehow, the prices changed. A lot. It was unreal. So the $28,000 I totally believe. Even if you're conservative.
